December Lunch Event
It’s a DWBC tradition to honor a not-for-profit with a focus on the well-being of women in December. At our 12/12 lunch program, we will honor the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado and Amanda Henderson, the Executive Director, will be our keynote speaker. Amanda is a tireless advocate for women, families and the most vulnerable members of our community with the Colorado State Legislature. She is also a huge proponent of reproductive rights and has lobbied on behalf of Planned Parenthood and against Personhood.
Amanda will be speaking about how our laws, policies, communities and society might be different if we build empathy and replace a climate of hate & fear with one of unconditional love. She will also highlight the Interfaith Alliance’s legislative agenda for 2019 and which statutes may help support the building of a more positive reality for all of us.
