May Program

The fight for our democracy is urgent. Our president has adopted a strategy of resistance to all efforts by the house to check his runaway powers. Unfortunately, this reality has been accepted as the new normal. What can we do as a nation to salvage  our democracy?

Former Colorado Congressman David Skaggs, newly appointed by Nancy Pelosi as the Chair of the Office of Congressional Ethics, will speak at our May lunch program. He will discuss ways that we can survive this constitutional crisis.

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold will talk about the ways that she is working to protect our democracy through voter rights and her fight against dark money in politics.

If you are frustrated by the current administration’s disregard and contempt for any check on executive power, this program is for you.
