Virtual Happy Hour
Wednesday, April 21 at 5:00

We will start our April event with an update from Washington with U.S. Senator Michael Bennet. Senator Bennet will talk about the recent mass shooting in Boulder, and what can be done regarding gun control at the federal level. He will also address the transformational expansion of the safety net with the historic COVID relief bill, and other Democratic priorities.

Next we celebrate Earth Week by learning the latest about the climate crisis and how you can help! Elise Jones, former Boulder County Commissioner and new Executive Director of the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (or SWEEP), will provide an update on the impacts of climate change on our region, what groups like SWEEP are doing to address it, and how DWBC members can get involved.

After the presentations we will break-out into small groups so we can discuss  and have a chance to socialize!
