March Evening Event
March Evening Program
Policies that affect income also affect health. The health of people in our community goes beyond the doctor’s office–and it suffers from the effects of inequality. Claire Levy Executive Director of the Colorado Center on Law and Policy will discuss Vital Signs:the Influence of Race, Place, and Income on Colorado’s Health. Levy served for seven years in the Colorado House of Representatives before her current role with CCLP.
Tim Howard of UV Analytics will deliver a short talk on framing progressive positions. Republicans have been winning the battle of framing and messaging and talking about values for decades. Meanwhile, as progressives we tend to focus on logic, self-interest, and policy points–which are less persuasive to voters. Tim will give us some tips on how we take back control of political discourse.
